What's the difference between the user password and owner password?
The user password is required to open the file at all. The owner password controls permissions like printing, editing, and copying without gating opening the file. If you leave the owner password blank, it defaults to the same value as the user password, so a single password governs everything.
Can I remove the password later?

Will this work on any PDF?
It works on a normal, unencrypted PDF. A PDF that's already password-protected needs to be unlocked first, since the tool can't re-encrypt a file it can't open.
